Their emphasis is on Icelandic and Nordic cuisine and all dishes are prepared using the best Icelandic ingredients available. One of the main attractions of Scandinavian is 'smørrebrød', a Danish concept of an open sandwhich with different bread and toppings. The Open Danish sandwiches at Scandinavian are rumored to be the best in the city. Try the one with rye bread, butter, fried plaice, tartar sauce, smoked salmon, caviar shrimps, asparagus and lemon, or the one with warm liver paté, crispy bacon, mushrooms, salad and jam on rye bread.

The soups at Scandinavian are warm and aromatic, and the seafood soup is one of the most popular dishes on the menu.
