Teni is a real Ethiopian restaurant in downtown Reykjavík, which aims to introduce their guests to the very best Ethiopian cuisine has to offer.
Ethiopian food is unique in many regards, for instance by its distinct spice mix, Berbere, which is both spicy and mild at the same time, and the Injera bread, a large kind of pancake which you tear into pieces and use instead of a fork. This is accompanied by a wide array of meat, bean and vegetable dishes of different kinds.
The decor is elegant and subdued, and the restaurant is situated right by the sea, with a beautiful view across the bay over Faxaflói bay and Mt. Esja.
